Frequently Asked Questions
An Allied Distributor Service Representative (DSR) is the local technical expert on Allied Products. DSR is required to handle field visits, advanced troubleshooting, and installation, servicing and maintenance training on ALL Allied products to both employees and dealers.
No, it is not. It is a technical training program. The primary purpose of the DSR Program is to provide technical support to our distributors’ customers that is quick, accurate, and reliable. We will not accept an applicant that will only process warranties and do no technical training.
A good DSR candidate is someone who handles technical training for their company or is being trained to become a technical trainer in the future. This person meets all of the base requirements set in the guidelines and is prepared to devote the necessary time to being an active member of the program.
Yes. DSR’s are required to travel to attend at least one face-to-face training provided by Allied each year in order to maintain DSR standing. The managers of this person must be aware of and accept this requirement. DSRs are also required to attend their distributor’s Allied Air Red Carpet Tours at any Allied Air facility.
It is DSR Policy that we can only make decisions based on the information provided by the DSR in the DSR Portal (this site). Make sure your profile is thoroughly completed and up to date. You will also log training sessions that you have given or taken in order to receive credit.
DSR’s are subject to a level demotion or complete removal from the program if they fail to make effort in completing all annual requirements. Allied Air conducts an annual review in October along with the DSR Advisory Panel in making these assessments. DSRs who fail to meet the requirements will be notified in writing and given 60 days to demonstrate the appropriate efforts to remain in the program. Once suspended, DSR’s immediately loses access to the benefits received as a DSR.
You can find a list of benefits here.
Yes, Allied Air provides training co-op at 50%. You earn co-op by training contractors on Allied equipment and logging it to the DSR Portal. This includes travel to and from DSR events.
Members of the Advisory Panel are Level IV DSR’s and are elected in by their fellow Level IVs. It consists of 8 DSR’s from different regions around North America
No. This is a perk for DSR’s only.

Changes and Modifications
Allied Air will routinely monitor the program and reserves the right to make any changes and modifications on an as- needed basis including discontinuing a DSR’s or distributor’s participation in the program; Allied Air may revoke benefits at any time.
Field Authority
DSR’s above Level I have the authority to double the standard labor concession period. These allowances should be made within the guidelines provided in the Allied Air Labor Concession Policy. Extended labor claims should be filed using the Allied Labor Request Form (ALF). The request forms must be signed by the DSR and a brief description of the circumstances should be provided. Routine type claims received by Allied Air and approved by a DSR will be processed without corporate notification. Allied Air’s Technical Service Department should be contacted in advance to obtain clarification and a case number for large or unusual claims and/or in situations where a piece of equipment is being considered for removal.
